At Chicago’s Progressive Talk, we’re not just talking about locally grown food. We’re growing it…right here in the WCPT parking lot. You can grow produce on asphalt as long as you have the right containers—and the Earth Box is one of the most efficient ways to go. Thanks to Pesche’s Garden Center, Sid’s Greenhouses and the Dr. Earth Company, who provided everything we needed—and to Mike Nowak and Heather Frey, who did (and continue to do) the work to maintain our plants—using rainwater whenever possible.
